What is Compounding?

Pharmacy compounding is the art and science of preparing personalized medications for patients.  The compounding pharmacist works together with physicians to customize medications to meet the specific needs of individual patients.  The medication strength, dosage form, and route of administration are customized to meet the particular needs of a patient.
